Bangalore: Kumaraswamy Pledges to Tear Justice Santosh Hegde’s Façade

Bangalore, Aug 29: Kumaraswamy, who was appreciative of the Lokayukta activities against former Chief Minister, Yeddyurappa and his colleagues, seems to have discovered that Justice Hegde is his adversary, from the moment the Lokayukta report indicted him and his wife, Anita Kumaraswamy, of involvement with illegal mining activities.

Kumaraswamy’s question, made public through a newspaper on Saturday, related to the funding of the late night activities of Justice Hegde. Justice Hegde in turn, had sharply reacted by saying that he has only one wife and a single house. JDS supremo, H D Deve Gowda, had tried to end the spat, by regretting his son’s statement.

But Kumaraswamy, not willing to be bogged down, through a statement issued to publications on Sunday, said, “There is no question of expressing regret on the issue. I am committed to what I said. I will lay bare Justice Hegde’s colours. I am prepared to furnish documentary proof in this connection within a few days. I am also prepared to participate in one-to-one discussions with Justice Hegde relating to his lavish lifestyle. If he is prepared to come, we can both share our views in front of the people,” he added.

Justice Hegde, while speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations of State Bank of Mysore Employees Union, had reacted by saying that those who speak about the personal lives of others, should introspect on their own personal lives. “Kumaraswamy appears to be unhappy with me because of the fact that his name has been mentioned in the illegal mining report,” he reasoned.
