Udupi, Nov 15: An auto-rickshaw driver has been doing his bit in creating awareness over conservation of wildlife and forests.
Jayakar Petebettu, the auto-rickshaw driver, has put up the head of a tiger and a huge nail in front of his three-wheeler here in order to create awareness about protection of wild animals and forests.
Jayakar has been running his auto rickshaw for the last eight years. He has been taking a day off every year without running his vehicle and indulging in such awareness campaigns on those days.
It may be recalled, back in October, a growing number of complaints accompanied by photographs of film actors and politicians wearing tiger claw pendants were in the news.
Later, forest minister Eshwar Khandre said that the government is planning to give two months' time to those in possession of such wildlife articles to return them to the forest department.

Using his three-wheeler as a canvas, he creatively advocates for the protection of wild animals and their habitats. A powerful example of individual commitment to a crucial cause.

Wed, Nov 15 2023Along with that they could have done awareness programs about city buses and service buses drivers to run vehicles under control without killing any pedestrians and accidents would have helped a lot to public.

Thu, Nov 16 2023Praveen Mangalorean ,its only Publicity.Instead of looking for Tiger clawns and tooth, better hunt for people who hunt in forests or sell teeth or kill elephants for the sake of making figures selling to China etc .to stop. There are people who hunt in forests deers .sell black in market. That should be stopped. No wonder then leopards or tigers come in cities to seek food.
