Udupi: Manasa Pamboor celebrates Founder’s and Children’s Day

Udupi, Nov 17: The founders day and children’s day celebration in Manasa Pamboor was organized on November 15. It was sponsored by Catholic Sabha Pamboor unit and Lions Club Bantakal cross road. 

Henry Menezes, president of Manasa Pamboor, presided and welcomed  the gathering. Fredric Menezes, past president of the Pamboor unit greeted Manasa students  on the occasion of children’s day and wished them well. Dr Gerald Pinto the joint secretary thanked Catholic Sabha Pamboor unit and Lions Club for helping the Manasa. He also recalled the service of Jawaharlal Nehru  in Nation building on the occasion of his birthday.  He also  greeted the students of Manasa and thanked the principal and staff for their dedicated service. Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Lions Club president Josil Noronha, Pamboor Parish Council secretary Tony Menezes, Manasa secretary  Joseph Noronha gave away the prizes to the students. Harry and Freeda Moras Dubai, also a resident of Kinnigoly sponsored the special meals. 

The guests and students offered flowers to the photo of the late Pandit Jawaharlar Lal Nehru on the occasion of his birthday. 

The students and teachers presented a cultural programme. The principal Sr Ancilla Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks. Teacher Hemalatha compered the programme. The trustees John Martis and Dr Edward Lobo, office bearers of Lions Club and Catholic Sabha Pambor unit, Autism Centre PTA president Seema Shetty, PTA president Vanitha Shettigar, and superior Sr Mary were present.
