Bengaluru, Nov 17: Former JD(S) state president C M Ibrahim has been suspended from the JD(S) party by its supremo and former party president H D Deve Gowda on Friday.
Ibrahim, a former union minister, was Congress MLC and had resigned to join the JD(S) to become its state president. However, when JD(S) had joined the BJP-led NDA, Ibrahim had opposed the move and spoken against the alliance publicly.
But after JD(S)-BJP alliance was formalised, Deve Gowda had dissolved the entire State executive, which resulted in Ibrahim losing his position as president of the State party unit. Now, the JD(S) national president Deve Gowda has issued the order for suspending C M Ibrahim from the JD(S).
