Kasargod, Nov 19: In a puzzling incident in Manjeshwar, a fisherman, Roshan Monteiro (42), went missing from home. Roshan, a resident near Aman Cottage on Manjeshwar Church Beach Road, and a fisherman at Manjeshwar small port, is the son of Apoline Lobo and Felix Monteiro.
After their Saturday night dinner, Roshan went to bed as usual. However, when his wife woke up at 2:30 am, Roshan was nowhere to be found. Despite searching the surroundings, he could not be located. Roshan had left his mobile phone behind, and his slippers were also found at home.
Concerned about her husband's disappearance, his wife lodged a missing complaint with the Manjeshwar police station on Sunday morning, November 19. Roshan's wife, family members including his two children, are anxiously awaiting his return.
Roshan's friends, fellow fishermen, searched for him throughout the day along the shores of Manjeshwar and even ventured into the sea for kilometers in a boat. Unfortunately, their efforts yielded no results, and they returned in the evening. Roshan has been an active youth leader and was always at the forefront for the rights and benefits of the fisher worker community.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the missing Roshan Monteiro is urged to contact the Manjeshwar police at 04998-272640.
