Mangaluru, Nov 22: “Internal tussle has increased in the Congress. The groups of Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar and Satish Jarkiholi are getting divided. Around 30 to 40 MLAs will desert the Congress within a few days,” said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking to media, Nalin said that junior Kharge is demanding the position of chief minister in between the friction. He further said, “Operation Hasta is in progress. Congressmen are misleading people that people from the BJP are joining the Congress. Nobody goes away from the BJP for any reason. There will be mass changes in the Congress after the Belagavi session.
“Several are competing for the post of the chief minister. The ‘Dalit CM’ card is being played by Jarkiholi and Parameshwar. The government might collapse as there is a fight among Priyank Kharge, D K Shivakumar and others. The government is not taking off. No development works are taking place. The law and order has become worse in the state. As many as 300 farmers have died by suicide during the last four months. Four people were hacked to death in Udupi during broad daylight. The drought situation in the state is not under control.
“The work in the state is being undertaken with the funds released by the Modi-led central government. No amount is released by the state for development works. This government is corrupt. It does not have money to pay the salaries of the officers. Wait for three or four months, everything will be out in open,” he said.
