Bantwal, Nov 24: Many people are fooling public by bringing variety in goods that are used every day by public. But now the tricksters have entered the writing pencils used by young children.
Parents of children studying in Gadiyara primary school of Kedila in the taluk have filed complaint in Vittal police station against people selling pencils in the form of axe and other controversial shapes.
The sellers who visit government schools take order from children and also convey the rate for the same. After two days, they supply the pencil. Though the pencil that costs Rs 20 is good to look at, it has an axe shape on one end. This might cause injury to children. The parents say that these type of pencils will not only cause physical harm to children but will have negative impact on the mind of children and they should not be allowed.
The parents also expressed rage against the teachers who did not take any action on the sellers of pencils. It is accused that the same suppliers have gone to many schools in the taluk and have sold similar pencils.
