Beltangady, Nov 26: the Dharmasthala police have cracked the case of theft of an Innova car that was parked in the shed of a house at Kakkinje.
Four persons were arrested in this connection. Uma Ajay Shetty (32), a resident of Kinnigoli Talippady, Sooraj Shetty (23) of Sonandur Ganadabettu in Beltangady taluk, Manjunatha Poojary (30) of Enmady in Ilanthila village and Kishore T (32) of Shamboor Parekal of Bantwal taluk are the arrested accused.
The accused were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
On November 9 at around 10 pm, Naufal had parked his Innova car in the shed of his house. Accused Sooraj Shetty and Ajay Shetty, friends of Saifuddin, who is known to Naufal, had asked for the car on rent. However, Naufal had refused. The very night the car was stolen and a case was filed on the accused on suspicion.
SI Anil Kumar, SI Ravindra Ganigera and other personnel of Dharmasthala were involved in the operation.
