Bangalore: ‘Coming Election Will be My Last’ – Siddu

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Sep 3: If what Siddaramaiah says is to be believed, he will be active in state politics for a maximum of seven years from now on. Siddu, who is the leader of opposition in the state assembly, announced that the next assembly election will be his last.

“After the next assembly election, I will never contest any elections. Because of the fact that I am becoming weaker physically, I am not able to move about as actively as before. I also want more and more youth to get opportunities in politics. Therefore, I have taken this decision,” he told the reporters at Vidhan Soudha here on Friday September 2.

He concurred that this decision might come as a dampener to the spirits of his supporters and party activists. “My opinion is that one should stay away from active politics once he loses his agility and physical strength. Hence the coming election will be my last one,” he announced. He said he believes that he can continue to serve the people even when he is not a people’s representative, and that there are many ways to serve the people and vibe to their trials and tribulations.

“I feel that the next assembly election will be held in March next year. If the party and activists so want, I may contest for Lok Sabha election once thereafter. That too, if the circumstances are conducive,” he clarified.

Good move siddu. Hope Devegowda, Yeddi, SM Krishna, Veerappa Moily, Oscar will also follow you.

Moily, SMK, Oscar are the utter waste politicians. Being in such a high post and with their own govt in power, they dont even have the ability to bring a good train service between two major cities of Karnataka Blr-Mlr.
