New Delhi, Sep 3 (IANS) Stating that he has not received any notice under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), yoga guru Baba Ramdev Saturday accused the government of trying to defame him for his struggle against graft.

Addressing a press conference here, the yoga guru said his trust was not involved in any violation of norms, and he was being targetted for raising voice against corruption.

"This is an attempt by the government to force me to stop my campaign against corruption and black money," Ramdev said, asserting his trust has followed all norms and not even a rupee was received through wrong means.

Sources from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Thursday said that a case has been registered against Ramdev and his trust under the Foreign Exchange Managment Act (FEMA).

They said the ED has evidence of a Rs.7 crore remittance from Britain recently. Ramdev's castle on the Little Cumbrae island in Scotland is also being investigated, it is learnt. The castle is used by Ramdev as his base outside India.

According to sources, the ED has evidence of foreign remittances to Ramdev and his trusts, including the Patanjali Yogpeeth and Divya Yoga Mandir Trust.

Ramdev reiterated the charges were false.

"This is a conspiracy to defame me... is fighting against corruption and black money a crime?" he added.
