Sriramulu Resignation: No Crisis in State BJP, says CM

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Sep 4: There is no doubt that former minister B Sriramulu's resignation shocker has shattered the state BJP unit, and though it does not affect the party in the state assembly number game, the powerful Bellary MLA's decision to quit his assembly seat could prove a big headache for the BJP.

Speaking exclusively to daijiworld.com over the phone, CM Sadananda Gowda said, "I heard that Sriramulu has announced his resignation, but we will try to persuade him. There may be some differences, but we can sit and sort out things. He is a senior and an important member of our party." But Sadanada Gowda dismissed statements that state BJP is in crisis due to Sriramulu's resignation.

Earlier, Sriramulu said at a press conference that his ego had been hurt and image tarnished by being named in the Lokayukta report, but added that he would tour the entire state and reach out to the people.

"I do not want any other MLAs or Reddy brothers to resign owing to my decision. I want to prove myself right," he said.

Following Sriramulu's resignation, atleast 7 corporaters from Gadag have resigned in support of their mentor's resignation. Sriramulu was reportedly instrumental in bringing BJP into power in the corporation election.

Followed the news of resignation, top BJP leaders are now meeting at CM's residence to discuss the present political situation. Ministers Suresh Kumar and BJP state president Eshwarappa are said to be in the meeting.

Where is SRI RAMULU's Integrity for his 'HINDUTUVA' BJP Party.Yesterday day he reiterated for the Press persons that he will not quit BJP....This is the first salvo from Reddy brothers to test the water.Mr CM how long these dramas has to tolerated by people. In past three years BJP was busy with keeping it's power hungry and corrupt Ministers together which hindered good governance and developments.

All energy, time, resources are wasted to keep BJP's cadres together is a considerable development of BJP so far.Reddy brothers coward and they asked RAMULU to quit coz for a blackmail as usual.BEST WAY TO OVERCOME THESE NONSENSE FOR GOOD IS TO GO FOR MIDTERM ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS..DAY BY DAY BJP BECOMING A 'BADYATHE'RATHER THAN ASSET.
