Mangaluru, Dec 5: A gaur was found roaming at Kadri Kaibattal area in the city in the night on Sunday. A CCTV camera captured the footage of the gaur that was moving on the road. Later, the resident of Shivbagh reported sighting of the gaur.
Forest officials visited the area in the morning on Monday and traced the footsteps of the gaur. However, the animal could not be seen in day time. The officials said that the gaur might have gone towards Pumpwell and into forest via Maroli.
The officials assured of a night time operation on Monday to trace the gaur. They also said that there is no need for public to panic.
