Puttur: Two die on spot after unknown vehicle hits mini truck

Puttur, Dec 7: Two people of Odisha origin died on the spot as a mini truck they were seated in was hit by an unknown vehicle near the border temple on Shiradi Ghat on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru NH 75 on Wednesday December 6.

The deceased are identified as Amoolya Perida (23) and Santhinirsh Jooti (27).

The mini truck was carrying goods to Mangaluru from Hassan. As is reached near the temple at the border, it was hit by some unidentified vehicle. The mini truck was completely mangled in the collision and both the inmates died inside the vehicle.

Sakleshpur rural police are on search for the driver and the vehicle who escaped from the spot.

    road safety especially in ghat section needs to be taken up to international or at least gulf level...first our politicians have to concentrate on this and then send man or woman to moon or sun or anywhere...
