Mangaluru: Health dept officials raid, seal unauthorised clinics, labs

Mangaluru, Dec 7: Health department officials raided clinics and labs that were operating without authorization in the city and sealed many of them on Wednesday.

The Dakshina Kannada district administration, district health and family welfare department were involved in the operation. The members of the raiding squad visited facilities that are not registered under KPMEA act 2017 and verified records.

One clinic and laboratory functioning at Moodushedde and one clinic functioning at Hampankatta were sealed. The health department officials warned all allopathic clinics, Ayush clinics, dental clinics, genetic laboratories, physiotherapy centres, labs and those who are still not registered to get themselves registered within one week. Those violating the rule will be sealed under KPME act, the officials said.
