Mumbai, Sep 6 (IANS): Public sector IDBI Bank was the winner in two categories in Dun & Bradstreet's Polaris Software Banking Awards Monday.
It won awards in two categories - the overall best bank in India and the best public sector bank in India. The bank's chairman and managing director R.M. Malla received the awards.
"This landmark event has been made possible due to the passionate hard work, dedication and service to the customers, by the entire team of 14,000 professional employees of the bank," Malla said.
The Dun & Bradstreet Polaris Software Banking Awards 2011 recognise the growth and resilience of the Indian banking industry. The top 62 commercial banks in the country (26 public sector banks, 20 private sector banks and 16 foreign banks) with total income of Rs. 1,000 million and above are evaluated for the award.
