Mangalore: Trinette D'Souza Chosen for National-level Football Tournament

By Navin Pinto, Kulshekar

Mangalore, Sep 6: When most young girls prefer to go for sports like tennis and badminton, here's a young girl who has chosen to reverse the trend.

Trinette D'Souza, the talented daughter of John and Treza D’Souza from Kulshekar, has been selected to play at the Under-17 National Level Girls Football Tournament, most likely to be held in Goa later this year.

Trinette is a ninth standard student studying in Sacred Hearts’ High School, Kulshekar, here.

She has been exhibiting her talent in football from a very young age. At the Zonal level, Trinette was adjudged the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ of Mysore Zone for scoring 3 goals. She also scored 11 goals at the state-level tournament held in Gadag, Karnataka.

She is also a pro at net ball and has played at the state level in the year 2010 and also participated in school athletics.

Trinette, besides her passion for sports, also has keen interest in cooking, reading and listening to music. Coached by her father John, that has helped Trinette tremendously in achieving her goal, her daily practice session lasts for almost two hours.

Trinette, is not only a studious student in her academics, but also in the field of sports. She has bagged number of trophies, medals on behalf of her school as well as individually.
