Delhi Terror Attack: Police Release Sketch of Two Suspects

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Sep 7: Following the terror attack at Delhi high court here on Wednesday September 7, the Delhi police, based on eyewitness accounts, released the sketch of two suspects the same evening.

The two are believed to have plnated a bomb in a briefcase which exploded at 10.15 am on Wednesday morning killing 11 and injuring 76.

One of the two is said to be in his 50s while the other is in his mid-20s.

Police said that the one in his 20s is a little less than 6 feet sporting a hairstyle that parted almost in the middle. The other one had a thinly grown beard and was stouter.

Soon after the blast, several eyewitnesses claimed that they had seen the duo standing in the line at the high court.

One eyewitness claimed that he had seen a man wearing a white shirt and carrying a brief case stand in the queue just before the blast took place.

"We have released sketches of two suspects based on the descriptions given by eyewitnesses," a senior police official said.

"We may also release a third sketch depending upon the eyewitness accounts," the official said.

It is yet to be ascertained whether the suspects too were killed or injured in the blast, or whether they managed to escape unhurt.

Soon after the sketches were released, a news channel received a call from a fast food outlet in Connaught Place that two men with similar features were present there between 1.30 pm and 2 pm, and were accompanied by three others.

Police are studying the CCTV footage of the outlet.

The sketches have been pasted at railway stations, bus depots and various markets, police said.

All police stations across the capital have been sent copies of the sketches and all entry and exit points of the city are under surveillance.

Police have also distributed the sketches to various guest houses and hotels.

I think its high time, the government shows sympathy and takes its own sweet time towards captured terrorists, We know for a fact they were responsible for the death of innocent lives, then why take this long and wait for more killing from these terrorrists again..Well they shoud be shot when they are caught..No point in keeping these cold blooded people alive and wait for more killing.

1st of all, there is no value for human life in india. 1st try get that... then things will fall into place... Everywhere you see someone or the others getting killed every single day.
If there was any values for human being in india, this would have not been happened!
    Think about it!

Politicians are busy in safe guarding their unaccounted wealth after Anna Hazare's movement. Our Home minister and Prime Minister must have been too busy in diluting the 2G Scam after Raja pointed fingers at them. What common people can expect from these politicians is a big question mark.

really its ridiculous that after every blasts some pictures of muslim gesture shown ....i had strong doubt on attack either its did by our politician just to divert peoples mind from their corruption issue nor our saffron terrorist did thinking that upa govt may apologise afzal guru. however i m not justifying afzal gurus crime if he s really did it....now there is no chance to apologise him....if a group or person really wants his release they would have been waited untill govt's decision.but i m confused y a terrorist organization named hugi did this for his release...there is no logic on it....

@Bulsam, these tragedies are run by idiot politicians to divert the concentration of the people. Now people are more anxious about Lokpal. Now Govt will put the blame on ISI, LET etc. and no body would be caught. Blasts are not new in India. Finally suspect will be freed. Politicians wanted to kill Hemanth Karkare, so they achieved and Kasab still not hanged. These are the real happenings in front of all.

Our politicians and Babus are not giving free hand to the intelligent department to do their duties hence growing lapses.

Let the Govt authorities come out of the grip of those authoritarian politicians and let take the task step by step. Let them recruit smart young blood to tackle the situation as well give voluntary retirement to all the aged officials.

Our senior ministers are busy fishing in troubled water e.g. Advani did not all the parliament to do the business instead politicized the situation. Until our politicians are united on national security issues the enemies will take advantage of the situation and perpetrate terror.

It is a known fact all over the world that there should be CCTV at every possible strategic vintage point all over India that includes Govt buildings, Public places, Public carriers like bus, train, plane and ship and their depots, stations, ports etc. Our intelligence should penetrate the enemy Govt, enemy camps, enemy handlers, national sympathizers etc. We should seek latest security expertise from the advanced nations all over the world and train our young and dedicated officials to achieve the international standard. Also provide them with the latest equipments and gadgets to gather the inputs and act swiftly. A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE.
    Jai Hind!

Till how long these terror activities will happen? What these terrorists will get by killing innocent people? Y Govt.doesn't take strict action and investigation? Is there any home minister of India who atleast can try to put full stop to these activities? For everything this Govt.makes delay.I just blame Our president for keeping that Kasab alive.Don't she have the authority to hang him? My request with the Govt. that just give authority to every citizen of India to kill on the spot each and everyone who supports Pakistan in India.
