Bantwal, Dec 16: Details have emerged about a case filed at the city police station, where a woman has accused Taslim Arif of continuous sexual harassment under the pretext of marriage, coupled with threats of violence. Taslim Arif, a resident of Narikombu, is alleged to have harassed the complainant, a resident of Loretto, leading to a police investigation.
Arif, a friend of the complainant's husband, frequently visited their home, fostering an acquaintance with the complainant. Reportedly, Arif obtained the complainant's mobile number and engaged in a physical relationship, promising marriage. The complainant's husband discovered the affair, leading to a separation. Subsequently, the complainant moved in with Arif, residing in a rented house in Jainarapete, Panemangalore, for the past three months.
However, matters took a dark turn as the complainant, in her police complaint, accused Taslim Arif of assault, verbal abuse, and death threats against her and her children. The city police are investigating the case.
