Delhi Blast: Death Toll Rises to 12


New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS): The death toll in the Delhi High Court blast rose to 12 Thursday with one more person succumbing to his injuries, police said.

The victim died here at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital's emergency ward.

"All we can say is one more victim has died, taking the death toll to 12," a Delhi Police officer said but hospital authorities refused to confirm the details of the deceased.

"Four injured are in a critical condition in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit," an official from the hospital said on condition of anonymity.

The explosion has left more than 90 injured.

The powerful bomb was concealed in a briefcase at the crowded Gate 5 of the high court Wednesday morning.
