Mangaluru: ‘Kalza Bhitarle Rang’ collection of poems released

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Dec 19: “The contribution to Konkani journalism by Avil Rasquinha 30-40 years ago was huge. He had run ‘Kannik’ fortnightly to a set goal with the appreciation of all. He has supported several young authors during his work as a journalist for 20 years. I had handed over to him a few stories written by me during my youth for publishing in Kannik. I too have received his support during my literary work. I felt glad to release the collection of poems by him now. I wish success for his literary work,” said Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld media.

He was speaking after releasing the ‘Kalza Bhitarle Rang’ by Avil Rasquinha.

Known singer Meena Rebimbus, former editor of Sevak magazine Fr Roshan and Bellor parish priest Fr Patrick Sequeira congratulated Avil Rasquinha.

Geo Agrar compered the programme. Panchu Bantwal welcomed. Vally Quadros gave an introduction to ‘Kalza Bhitarle Rang’ book. Mariette Rasquinha proposed vote of thanks.
