Kalaburagi horror: Minor boys rape 10-year-old girl at knife-point, record act

Kalaburagi, Dec 19 (IANS): A disturbing incident of two minor boys raping a 10-year-old girl at knife-point and making a video of the act, has been reported from Kalaburagi district on Tuesday.

The incident had taken place in the limits of Kalagi police station and according to the police the girl was living with her relatives as her parents had gone to Mumbai for work.

While she was on her way to school, two boys, aged 14 and 16 accosted her and took her to an isolated place.

They threatened the girl with a knife and gang raped her. The accused even recorded the act on their mobile phones.

Police registered a case under the provisions of the Pocso Act and are investigating the matter. More details are yet to emerge regarding the incident.

    In this age of computers and digital gaming ,everything is possible. They must be from this age.In our time Boys of this age were busy playing foot ball cricket ,or throw stones to dogs and cats ,ot mango trees.Now boys do this.Elders must have doing too same ,so they see it and practice home ?Otherwise Parents busy working and collecting money for boys education .Boys play digital and see what things are.Ashaming.WHomm to Punish?Parents along with their bruts?sorry.Hope girl will be given proper counselling.

    Smart phones with 24/7 uncensored access to the internet and hardcore pornography at the press of a button, in the hands of immature and irresponsible, is worse than a gun in hands of these gullible youngsters as these phones have the capacity to ruin and destroy the lives of entire families; when even mature married men can get tempted what can one tell of these teenagers whose testosterone levels are at the highest during this time of life without any fears of accountability. Vent for sexual desire is maximum during these years, which can only be controlled by early scientific sex education and on the dangers of getting involved in such nefarious activities; these smart phones have added fuel to the fire; and in my opinion, they pose significantly more dangers than benefits to most of the youngsters especially the illinformed ones!! It's high time that strict curbs be put onthe access of smart phones in hands of youngsters and juveniles! Sudden explosion of digitalisation without concomitant evolution of the user has brought a doom to many users in all spheres of life (another major one being financial frauds); after the advent of AI the challenges have become all the more difficult!! Incidentally; I am reminded of Stephen Hawking's prediction way back that humanity will come to an end with the population explosion, severe climate changes, and progression of AI! BTW, I doubt anybody even knows what our approximate population is.....though it's thought we have already surpassed China's!!
