Udupi, Dec 20: Adani Power Limited – Udupi TPP, in hands with its CSR wing Adani Foundation, today performed Bhoomi Pooja to execute the work concretisation of road in the limits of Palimar Grama Panchayat under its CSR at a project cost of Rs.15 lacs.

The concretisation of kachcha road of nearly 150 metres length from Nadiyaru to Kunyali village in Palimar GP got kickstarted by performing Bhoomi Pooja by Kishore Alva, executive director and president of Adani Group and Soumyalatha Shetty, president of Palimar grama panchayat.

Performing the Bhoomi Pooja, Kishore Alva spoke and informed that this year too Adani Foundation has earmarked Rs. 1.10 crore solely for infrastructure development works and accordingly execute development works worth Rs. 15 to 20 lacs in each of the 7 grama panchayats in Kaup taluk in the present FY 2023-24.

Palimar GP has already benefitted with the various development works worth Rs. 1.45 crore from Adani Foundation, execution of works as per the action plan of grama panchayat, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Soumyalatha Shetty, president of Palimar GP, thanked Adani Group and informed that the long-awaited demand from the villagers to develop this kachcha road is being fulfilled with the CSR of Adani Group.

Rayeshwar Pai, vice-president of Palimar GP, expressed happiness that the development of this road will be useful for many farmers, who are depending mainly on this road for their daily movement for agriculture farming.

Shashidhar, panchayat development officer, thanked Adani Foundation team for CSR grand and panchayat members for taking initiation in developing this road.

Satish Devadiga, Yogananda Kukiyan, Jayashree Acharya, members of Palimar GP; Raghavendra Shetty, contractor and Ravi R Jere, AGM of Adani Group and Anudeep from Adani Foundation, were present on the occasion.
