Mangaluru, Dec 22: Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education has announced a collaboration with Karnataka Rajya Dr Gangubai Hangal Sangeetha Mattu Pradarshaka Kalegala Vishwavidyalaya, aimed at providing a range of certificate and diploma programmemes. Commencing in January, the partnership anticipates introducing graduate and postgraduate programmemes in the near future.

- Certificate Course in Hindustani Vocals
- Certificate Course in Keyboard
- Certificate Course in Media
- Certificate Course in Western Dance
- Certificate Course in Bharatanatyam
- Diploma in Bharatanatyam
Terms and conditions
The MoU outlines the terms and conditions under which Sandesha Foundation will operate these programmemes under the recognition of Karnataka Rajya Dr Gangubai Hangal Sangeetha Mattu Pradarshaka Kalegala Vishwavidyalaya, a state-run university located in Mysore, where it holds jurisdiction all over Karnataka to offer courses in music, performing arts and dance.
Key provisions
Adherence to University Guidelines: Programmes will strictly adhere to schedules and guidelines stipulated by the University.
Admissions Management: Admissions will be within the university-approved intake limits, with stringent adherence to eligibility criteria.
Qualified Faculty: Appointments will follow norms set by relevant authorities to ensure the highest standard of education.
Constitution of Managing Council: A Managing Council will be established to oversee academic, administrative, and financial aspects.
Managing Council will include Chairman: Vice-Chancellor of the University, Members: Registrar, Registrar (Evaluation), Syndicate Members, Nominated members, Representatives from associated institutions, Representatives from professional bodies, Director of the Institute (Member Secretary)
Financial arrangements
All fees collected will be in the name of the institution recognized by the University. The institution will remit the prescribed amount to the University for approval of admissions. Periodic revisions of fees for various components will be collected and remitted to the university.
Recognition period
Recognition is granted for three academic years from December 16, 2023, with potential subsequent renewals.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement under specified circumstances, with obligations continuing for ongoing courses.
