Mangaluru: Silver Jubilee celebration of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, Kulshekar held

Mangaluru, Dec 22: The Silver Jubilee celebration of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, Kulshekar was held at Sacred Hearts Higher Primary School hall.

Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the provincial superior of Bethany, Mangalore Province and president of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, Kulshekar Mangaluru presided over the programme. In her presidential address, she congratulated the social work services carried down by Jeevandhara Trust for the past 25 years.


Irine Rebello, the skill development officer of D K district highlighted on various opportunities and schemes women have, to carry on self-employment. Shahanaz M, chief editor of Anupama Monthly Magazine advised the women to be bold and think positively towards life.

Kishore Kottari, the local corporator, assured his support to the activities of Jeevandhara Social Service Centre at Kulshekar. Srs Rose Lya, Sr Michelle, Sr Mariola and Sr Anna Maria who served as secretaries to the trusts and Bharathi, the long standing social worker in the Trust were honoured along with Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the present president of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust.

The success stories of Women named ‘Samruddha badhku’ in Kannada was released on the occasion. Alice Lobo, the member of Shanthi SHG compered the stage programme and Vinutha, cultural programme. Sr Anna maria welcomed the dignitaries on the dias and presented a brief report of the activities of Jeevandhara Trust for the past 25 years. Sr Reena expressed her gratitude to those who were present for the celebration. It was followed by cultural programme by women and students of Sacred Hearts schools. There were around 200 participants who attended the day’s event. It was concluded with a fellowship meal at 2 PM.
