Bantwal, Dec 24: During the annual day celebration of Balavikas English Medium School in Mani Peraje, journalist Walter Nandalike emphasized, "Parents should be inspiration to the dreams of their children and not impose their thoughts on them. Positive thoughts of parents take their children to high positions in life." Serving as the chief guest on the second day of the event, themed "Vikasa Vaibhava 2023," Nandalike commended the school's infrastructure and lauded the achievements of Prahlad Shetty, stating that such accomplishments require foresighted thinking.
Prahlad Shetty J, president of Mani Balavikas Trust, presided over the function and stressed the institution's foundation on the love and encouragement of education enthusiasts. He highlighted the priceless value of education and called on teachers and parents to pay more attention to the holistic development of children.
Dr Manjunatha Revankar, president of Sooraj Education Institution and Charitable Trust, urged parents to prioritize value-based education, emphasizing its role in shaping their children's self-respected lives. K Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu, president of Ratna Educational Institute of Deralakatte, emphasized that parental responsibility extends beyond school admission, serving as ongoing inspiration for their children's studies.
Dr Panduranga K S, joint director of Mysuru Division of the College Education Department, emphasized the shared responsibilities of parents and teachers. He encouraged parents to maintain good rapport with teachers and continuously inspire their children for their overall development.
The event also included the felicitation of students who excelled in academics, science, sports, and scouting, as well as the acknowledgment of contributors to the school's development. Various dignitaries, including MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, former minister Ramanath Rai, and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, praised Balavikas Educational Institution as a role model and commended its growth and progress.
In the two-day program, a food festival held on the school campus added a special touch to the celebration.
