Mangaluru, Dec 25: In a disheartening incident early in the morning at 5:30 am on Monday December 25, a grocery shop on Matadakani Mission Gory Road, Mannagudda, owned by Sandeep, fell victim to a fire believed to have originated from a short circuit.

The flames swiftly engulfed the premises, resulting in the gutting of goods and causing an estimated loss of Rs two lakhs. Fortunately, prompt action by the fire brigade personnel played a crucial role in preventing additional damage. Their timely arrival and effective firefighting efforts ensured that the blaze did not extend to nearby shops.

While the shop owner, Sandeep, faces the unfortunate loss of his business inventory, the coordinated response by the fire brigade helped contain the situation and minimize the overall impact.
