Success story: Siddharth Shukla becomes IAS officer to fulfil father’s dream

Uttar Pradesh, Dec 26: Siddharth Shukla pursued a career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) as a means of fulfilling his late father's unrealized dream. His father, who had initially ventured into journalism and relocated to Delhi, dedicated himself to supporting Siddharth's IAS preparations.

Siddharth received his schooling in Delhi and later graduated in history. Despite not harbouring any initial aspirations for the IAS, he committed to the rigorous preparation process solely for the sake of honouring his father's wishes. During this period, Siddharth consciously distanced himself from social media and other leisure activities, deeming them distracting and time-consuming.

Despite facing setbacks with three unsuccessful attempts, Siddharth persisted in his efforts. In his fourth attempt, he achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 27. Surprisingly, Siddharth's joy was eclipsed by the sheer happiness his father felt, finally witnessing the fulfillment of his own deferred dream through his son's success.
