Mangaluru, Dec 26: In a prompt and successful operation, personnel from the Pandeshwar fire service station rescued a three-year-old child who had accidentally locked themselves inside a room on the fourth floor of an apartment building in Kodialguthu, the city, on Monday morning.

The incident occurred when the toddler was playing inside a room and unintentionally locked the door from the inside. Despite the parents' attempts and frantic cries, the child was unable to open the door. In distress, a family member urgently contacted the Pandeshwar fire service for assistance.

Raja, the fire service station officer, along with his team, acted swiftly. Using ropes, they reached the fourth floor and executed a successful rescue, ensuring the safe recovery of the child. The timely response and expertise of the Pandeshwar fire service personnel played a crucial role in averting a potentially dangerous situation.

Good job by the fire brigade rescue team; with small children around, auto latches should be avoided and manual latches fixed out of the reach of children to avoid such tense situations!
