Kadaba: 27-year-old succumbs to injuries after fall from roof

Kadaba, Dec 27: In a tragic incident, a young man who fell down from the roof of his new house and was seriously injured has succumbed to his injuries at the Wenlock hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased is identified as Udaya Kumar (27), a resident of Barkuli, Alankar. He had climbed the roof of his house being constructed on November 12. However, he lost balance and fell down while getting down from it. He sustained serious injuries to his neck due to the fall and was rushed to Deralakatte hospital where a surgery was performed on him.

He was later shifted to the Wenlock hospital for further treatment. But he died without responding to treatment on Tuesday evening.

He was an active member in several organizations and was a social worker. He is survived by Sunanda Barkuli, former president and current member of Alankar gram panchayat, a brother and a sister.
