Bantwal, Dec 27: The NH-75 Shiradi Ghat Road, a crucial link connecting coastal districts to Bengaluru, is once again under scrutiny as reports of potholes posing potential dangers have surfaced. The concrete road near Heggadde, spanning approximately 300 meters from Chowdeshwari temple to Mangaluru, has witnessed concrete coming off, revealing visible rods underneath. Similar concerns have been raised about a two-kilometre stretch within Bengaluru.
Commuters and passengers are expressing apprehension, pointing out that if immediate remedial action is not taken, it could pose a threat to the integrity of the bridge. Despite these safety concerns, there are allegations of indifference from elected representatives, leaving those traveling on the highway worried about their safety.
In response to these issues, highway users are gearing up to launch the "Save NH75" campaign, aiming to draw attention to the problem and seek solutions. The sentiment among the public is that impactful solutions may only emerge when such concerns are amplified through intense social media campaigns, emphasizing the potential role of collective voices in prompting action from the relevant authorities.
