Mangaluru: Ullal beach tragedy – Mortal remains of missing youth found

Mangaluru, Dec 31: The mortal remains of Basheer (23), who tragically drowned at Mogaveera Patna beach in Ullal on Friday, were discovered on Saturday.

Three young individuals Salman (19), Saif Ali , and Basheer (23) had visited Ullal Dargah and ventured to the Mogaveera Patna beach for leisure. While two were successfully rescued by lifeguards during a drowning incident, one succumbed in the hospital on Friday. They belong to the family of Nayaz Ahmed, a resident of Ayyappa Nagar in Chikkamagaluru district.

Salman was declared dead in hospital, Saif Ali had survived while Basheer had gone missing in the sea.

The body of the third youth, initially untraceable on Friday, was located by swimmers on Saturday.
