Bantwal: Tragic bike accident claims life of theatre artiste

Bantwal, Dec 31: In a tragic incident, a theatre artiste lost his life in a bike accident at Punjalakatte.

The deceased, identified as Gautham (26), was a resident of Maradottu in Devshyapadur village, Bantwal taluk.

Gautham, associated with the Moodbidre Pingara artistes' group, was returning home after a play in Beluvai on December 30, around 3 am. Unfortunately, his scooter collided with a tree near his house, causing him to fall on the road and sustain head injuries.

The incident was discovered in the morning, and he was rushed to the hospital, where it was confirmed that he had already passed away.

Unmarried Gautham worked for an organization on BC Road. He is survived by his mother, brother, and sister. Gautham, a talented theatre artist, had showcased his skills in various plays performed by different troupes.
