Udupi: MLA Yashpal Suvarna urges CM to declare Jan 22 public holiday on Ram Mandir inauguration

Udupi, Jan 1: MLA Yashpal Suvarna urged CM Siddaramaiah to declare January 22 as public holiday on account of inauguration of Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in order to celebrate the historic moment by Hindus at their homes as their dream of 500 years is getting realized.

Prana Pratishta of idol of Lord Rama will be done on January 22 in the presence of PM Modi at Ayodhya. Throughout the country special poojas, bajans and food servings are held in various temples, mandirs and organizations on this day. PM Modi has called the people of the country to celebrate the day as Deepavali in their homes.
