Bantwal, Jan 1: A car climbed over an underground drainage as the driver lost control over the vehicle he was driving at Soorikumeru near Mani under Vittal police station limits.
The car was Mangaluru bound from Bengaluru. The vehicle hit the retainer wall that was built to prevent the hill collapse. After hitting the wall, the car climbed on top of the underground drainage and came to a halt.
The car was totally mangled in the mishap. However, the passengers escaped with minor injuries.
The details of the injured people is yet to be known. There were reportedly three women including the driver in the vehicle. All of them sustained minor injuries.
