Bangalore: Reddy Camp Raided Again, Mining Barons Want Officials' Transfer

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Sep 12: On Sunday September 11, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided residences of two persons in the city, who are deemed to be close to Reddy camp. The houses of Gurulingana Gowda, chairman of Bellary Urban Development Authority, and Bhaskar Reddy, a close relative of Janardhan Reddy, who happens to be a gram panchayat member, were searched by the officials for several hours.

Over ten officials including CBI inspectors, Ramana Rao, Seetaram and Murali, took part in the raid. While the house of Gurulingana Gowda is located at Basaveshwar Nagar here, that of Bhaskar Reddy is in Gandhinagar area.

The CBI officials confirmed that they have gathered enough information from the duo, and that nothing was seized from their houses.  It is gathered that the two were questioned about their proximity with Reddy camp, business interests, partnership in businesses, property details, deposits, bank lockers, etc. It is said that the CBI officials, who got information that Bhaskar Reddy has a locker in Prgati Grameena Bank, arrived there and inspected the locker. Reportedly, no incriminating documents or assets were recovered. The officials issued letters to both Gowda and Reddy, stating that they have not taken away anything from their residences.

Both Gurulingana Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy, relating to the above raid, said that they had expected the CBI raid since long, and that they are now devoid of any tension, as the raid has established that they do not have any business connections with the Reddys.

In the meantime, the Reddys have permanently closed down the north-west door of G Janardhan Reddy’s residence in Bellary, after an astrologer told them that Reddy was incarcerated because of the wrong position of the door, which he said, is inauspicious.  The CBI officials had entered through this door and taken Reddy from the same door. Close confidante of Reddy camp and former minister, B Sriramulu, who also entered the house through the said door, was involved with an argument with CBI officials because of the bad vibes emanated by this door, astrologers feel.

The Reddys have now been exerting pressure on the state government to shift Bellary district deputy commissioner, Amlan Biswas, and superintendent of police, Dr Chandragupta, as they are livid at these officials for not passing on information about the CBI raid in advance, in spite of having knowledge about the raid. Reliable sources said that Chief Minister (CM), D V Sadanand Gowda, has received threat of mass resignation of legislators close to Reddys from in and around Bellary district, if these officials are not shunted out immediately.  It is said that one of the conditions put forth by B Sriramulu for withdrawing his resignation is the transfer of the above officials.

As the issue has been threatening to blow into an internal crisis for the BJP, both Yeddyurappa and Jagadish Shettar, who held talks with the CM on the issue, advised the Reddys to have patience, as immediate transfer of the officials might give out wrong signals besides giving birth to another controversy. The Reddys, it is said, are angry at the outright rejection by the CM of their demand for shifting of these officials.

Isnt it shameful that they talk of transferring two officials who actually have done their duty in keeping confidentiality.....it's a shame that we elect such leader in the first place. And whoever threatens mass resignation is a 100% corrupt politician.....problem with our constitution is that there are so many political parties out there that it leaves the common man confused whom to elect. You really dont know whom your chosen leader supports ultimately
