Madhya Pradesh, Jan 3: The story of IAS officer Srushti Deshmukh Gowda is truly inspiring. Despite facing initial setbacks, she emerged victorious in the UPSC examination, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 5 in her very first attempt.
Hailing from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Srushti completed her schooling at Carmel Convent School, BHEL, Bhopal, achieving an outstanding 93.4% in her 12th board exams. Her dreams of pursuing engineering from the prestigious IIT were momentarily thwarted when she couldn't clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Undeterred, she enrolled in Lakshmi Narain College of Technology in Bhopal, where she pursued chemical engineering.
Following the completion of her chemical engineering degree, Srushti decided to try her luck in the UPSC examination. With unwavering support from her engineer father and teacher mother, who encouraged her to overcome the disappointment of not clearing the JEE, Srushti embarked on her UPSC journey with determination. In her first attempt, she not only cleared the exam but also secured an impressive AIR 5.
Adding to her achievements, Srushti is married to Dr Nagarjun B Gowda, an IAS officer from the same batch. The story of Srushti exemplifies resilience, determination, and the ability to turn setbacks into stepping stones towards success.
