Drugs worth Rs 1.71 crore seized in Mangaluru in 2023

Mangaluru, Jan 3: According to the city police commissionerate, in connection with drug trafficking and consumption, 713 cases have been registered in the year 2023, leading to the arrest of 948 individuals.

A total of Rs 1.71 crore worth of drugs have been confiscated.

This includes Rs 51.74 lac worth of ganja, Rs 7,000 worth of ganja weed oil, Rs 3,500 worth of ganja powder, Rs 1.11 crore worth of MDMA, Rs 2.5 lac worth of LSD stamps, Rs 3.39 lac worth of methamphetamine, Rs 1.45 worth of charas, Rs 750 worth of hashish oil, and Rs 48,000 worth of Bhang chocolate, as informed by Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal.
