Udupi, Jan 4: B Sudhakar Shetty, a prominent BJP leader and owner of Sharadha International Hotel on Karavali Bypass, passed away at a private hospital here on Thursday January 4.
In 2013, Sudhakar Shetty contested for the Udupi MLA seat as a BJP candidate, though he did not emerge victorious. He remained actively engaged in party activities and held the position of chairman at the Udupi Urban Development Authority.
Apart from his political involvement, Shetty, known as a progressive farmer, was the proprietor of Hotel Sharada International. He also played a role as the president of both the District Volleyball Association and the District Wine Merchants Association.
