Mangalore, Sep 12: Addressing a press conference here on Sunday September 11, Sagar MLA, Belur Gopalakrishna, said that Billavas will get a representation in the state cabinet, if he is made a minister.

“I have been engaged in the task of bringing Billavas from all over Karnataka together. I have undertaken a tour of all the districts in the state for this purpose. Billava community, which is 60 lac-strong, has no representative in Karnataka ministry. Billava community has been demanding the post of a minister for me. I too am an aspirant of this post. If the need so arises, I am prepared to prove my popularity through a show of strength at Shimoga. At the time, there is no question of leaving BJP if I fail to get cabinet berth,” he explained.

Gopalakrishna exuded confidence that BJP candidate will win by a huge margin in Koppal bypoll. Replying to a question, he said that the party is facing this election under the joint leadership of Chief Minister, Yeddyurappa, and Eshwarappa.
