Mangaluru, Jan 4: The Mangaluru Malayali Sangamam 2024, themed "Unity beyond boundaries," is set to take place on Saturday, January 6, at Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall in the city. This mega event is organized by Kerala Samajam, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Karnataka Nair Society ® Mangalore, Karnataka Malayali Vishwakarma Samajam ® Mangaluru, Kairali Kala Vedi, Surathkal, and other like-minded associations.

This collaborative effort aims to strengthen bonds and foster unity among individuals from diverse backgrounds, transcending caste, community, and religion. As the New Year unfolds in 2024, the Mangaluru Malayali Sangamam provides a platform to bring together people from various walks of life to celebrate shared heritage. It offers an opportunity to embrace cultural diversity while nurturing positive relationships within local communities. The event aims to unite participants to achieve remarkable milestones and contribute to the betterment of society.

The organizers extend a warm invitation to all to join the grand celebration, promising a feast for the senses. The program kicks off on Saturday, January 6, at 3 pm, with a vibrant cultural procession starting from St. Aloysius College Centenary Ground, passing through Jyothi Circle, and concluding at the Town Hall. All are encouraged to participate in the procession to show solidarity.

The stage program begins at 4:30 pm, with T K Rajan, president of Kerala Samajam, presiding over the function. The event boasts esteemed guests, including Gokulam Gopalan, a leading film producer and businessman, as the chief guest. The distinguished lineup also features M G SreeKumar, a talented playback singer, composer, and National film award winner, Jayasurya, an acclaimed south Indian film actor and National film award winner, Gurukiran, a leading south Indian music director and Karnataka state film award winner, and Renu K Nair, general manager and zonal head of Union Bank, Mangaluru.

Honours will be conferred upon M G Sreekumar with the "Janapriya Gayaka Award" for his remarkable contributions to the field of music. Additionally, achievers within the community from diverse fields will be recognized and celebrated during the event.

Supported by a team of esteemed office bearers and executive members from various associating organizations, the Mangaluru Malayali Sangamam is powered by Union Bank of India, a trusted and renowned financial institution bringing expertise and experience to the program.
