Kundapur, Jan 6: In an accident near Ankadakatte of Koteshwar late on Thursday night, a truck driver lost his life after being hit by a car.
The deceased has been identified as Ladasaab Nadaf (27), a native of Rona taluk in Gadag district.
Nadaf was in the process of changing the punctured tire of his truck. He had activated both the parking lights and indicators to caution vehicles approaching from behind while he checked the tire. Unfortunately, a car, driven recklessly and at high speed towards Kundapur, collided with Nadaf. The impact resulted in his immediate demise.
The driver of the car fled the scene. A case related to this incident has been registered at the traffic police station.
