Amar Singh Hospitalised, Under Observation


New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS): Rajya Sabha member and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh was under observation Tuesday here at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a kidney-related ailment, doctors said.

Amar Singh was shifted from the Tihar Jail to AIIMS Monday evening.

Amar Singh was arrested Sep 6 for his alleged involvement in an attempt to bribe MPs ahead of the July 2008 parliament trust vote.

A medical report on Amar Singh is expected to be released by 11 a.m., an AIIMS doctor told IANS.
