Swati Meena Naik’s inspiring journey from Sikar to youngest UPSC officer

Daijiworld Media Network – Rajasthan (MS)

Rajasthan, Jan 8: Swati Meena Naik, hailing from Sikar in Rajasthan, achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the youngest officer of her batch to crack the UPSC exam at the age of just 22 in her first attempt.

Swati graduated from Sophia Girls’ College. Her father is a Rajasthan administrative officer, and her mother runs a petrol pump.

Inspired by one of her aunts to become an IAS officer, Swati faced a divergence of aspirations as her mother wished her to be a doctor. However, Swati's father wholeheartedly supported her in her journey, enabling her to crack the toughest examination in her very first attempt.

In 2007, Swati secured All India Rank (AIR) 260. She currently serves in the drinking water and sanitation department as a director under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

Swati's dedication and success inspired her sister, who, in 2011, also cleared the UPSC to become an IFS officer. Swati is highly respected for her professionalism and ethics at work.

Not taking any credit away from her hard work. I wonder these civil service require any research work. Lack of quality in Government administration makes me think these are only paper tigers, memorize and spit it. Lack of understanding current problems can't make a good administrator. Many cities are uglified with thoughtless construction with very little planning and vision in the name of development. Any thoughts?
