Kundapur, Jan 8: MP B Y Raghavendra expressed admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing the recent actions of the Maldives government as proof of Modi's global respect. According to Raghavendra, three ministers in Maldives were suspended for criticizing PM Modi, highlighting the international honor he commands.
Speaking to journalists at Hemmady, Raghavendra, who addressed rumours about Kumar Bangarappa's potential departure from BJP, Raghavendra dismissed them, stating that Bangarappa is actively involved in organizing the party. “I do not think Congress has dearth of candidates,” he said.
He also said, “Sukumar Shetty strengthened our party in Byndoor legislative constituency. I met him recently at the wedding of one of our activists. I have sought blessings from him. We have to ask him about his next political move. However, he will not abandon us. His guidance will always be there with us.”
Regarding accusations made by Basanagouda Patil Yatnal against BJP, Raghavendra said that he trusts the party high command will address them at the appropriate time. He expressed confidence in the party's performance and hinted at his willingness to contest again if permitted.
Raghavendra further said, “On January 22, the dreams of crores of Indians will be realized. Ram Mandir is going to be inaugurated on that day. Attempt will be made to arrange direct train from Karnataka. The union government will get into the work of road, rail and air connection to Ayodhya from all over the country. I will definitely try to get Vande Bharat train to Mumbai next time. I have already spoken to concerned officials of providing stoppage to trains at Senapur.
“There are many chaos in work related to Kundapur-Byndoor highway. I have met union minister Nitin Gadkari and sought special grant for 10 works like bypass, underpass etc. The appeals that were given to MLA also are forwarded to the department. The union minister has agreed to provide separate grant for this work.
“The director of NHAI is changed every six months. How we can implement the road works? This matter is brought to the notice of minister Gadkari also,” he said.
