Kasargod: Two people killed, six others injured due to car-scooter collision

Kasargod, Jan 9: Two people lost their lives and six individuals sustained injuries in a tragic accident between a car and a scooter that occurred near national highway, Peria on Tuesday January 9.

The deceased are identified as Gopala Krishna (55) from Chattanchal and Narayanan (62) from Parava Nadka.

Occupants in the car, Badiadka residents Shaheen (36), wife Sahala, relatives Saheen, Shamlas, Fathima and Hana Fathima who suffered injuries were admitted to Kasargod general hospital. A pedestrian identified as Hamza (65) who suffered critical injuries during the mishap was admitted to Kasargod hospital.

The accident occurred when the occupants in the car were traveling to Payyanur in connection with passport work. Locals admitted the injured to the hospital.

The scooter was mangled due to the impact. The car that lost control of its driver fell into a pit dug for highway work.

The mortal remains of the deceased were shifted to Kasargod general hospital morgue.

    india kisi guthuwaale ki jaagir nahin hai...i will go or stay it is my wish...no one can question it..but what i have written is reality...just because India is our motherland does not mean that we have to shut our eyes and just say Jai for everything...as responsible citizen everyone has the duty to pinpoint the lacunas....ninna nagpur mandeg avv poora povand....olla kori katta jugari ittenda toola

    Dear Rajiv shetty, Don't get angry at him. But get angry at the politicians who are showing a blind eye to this tragic accident. Question the government, that's what healthy democracy should look like. And accept the fact our country's infrastructure is so poor that it resembles a third world county.
