Kundapur, Jan 9: Kalakshetra Kundapur Trust, under the leadership of President B. Kishore Kumar, will host the 12th annual "Inidani" program featuring Kannada film songs. The event is scheduled to take place at Kundapur Board High School grounds on the evening of January 14.

During a press conference at Kundapur Press Club, Kumar announced the participation of Bengaluru-based singers Ajay Warrior, Mohankrishna, Shashikala Sunil, Samanvita Sharma, along with Mangaluru-based Y N Ravindra, and local talents including Ashok Sarang, young prodigy Dharini Kundapur, Prapthi Hegde, and Kamal Kishore.

The musical ensemble will be provided by musicians Rajesh Bhagavat, Vaman Karkala, Ganesh Navagiri, Bhasker Kumble, Shijimoon Calicut, Deepak Shivamogga, Varun, Sumukh Acharya, Melwin, Tony D’Silva, and Raj Gopal Acharya.

"Inidani" was introduced in 2010 to rejuvenate interest in old songs, and since then, it has attracted a growing audience. In addition to this annual program, Kalakshetra has been actively involved in providing training in swimming, music, organizing events such as Kannada Rajyotsava, Vichara Sankirana, film shows, Yakshagana, Talamaddale, tiger dances, and more in Kundapur.

Leaders of the Geethagayana program, including Sanath Kumar Rai, K R Nayak, Rajesh Kaveri, and Prashanth Sarang, were also present at the press conference.
