Udupi: Parichaya Foundation Pamboor to organize ‘Chitra Parichaya’ from Jan 11-21

Udupi, Jan 10: Parichaya Foundation Pamboor, an organization instituted to promote art, literature and cultural activities is organizing ‘Chitra Parichaya’ Nature Painting Educational Residential Camp' from January 11 to 21 at Rangaparichaya, Pamboor.

About 30 students of Mangalore Mahalasa College of Visual Arts will take part in this residential camp and will be involved in creating landscape paintings. They will also be engaged in theatre performance in this camp.

The camp will be inaugurated by painter and teacher Ramesh Bantakal on January 11 at 6 pm. Various cultural programmes, lectures and film screenings are organized on all days of the camp. On January 12, 'Kathale Haadu' a unique rendition of songs by Nada Maninalkoor, On January 13, ‘artistic lifestyle  expletive for health’ a lecture-singing presentation by a popular doctor and musician Dr R N Bhat. On January 14, 'Life Values with Humor' by renowned entertainer Sandhya Shenoy, Udupi, and on January 15, 'Bird Introductory' a birding documentary and conversation by amateur bird watcher and wildlife researcher Aravinda Kudla will be held. On January 16, Talamaddale performance ‘Paduka Pradana’ by famous artists will be held. On January 17, students of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru Ranga Adhyayana Kendra will present Kannada drama 'Hangon'.

Screening of award-winning Kannada films screened at national and international film festivals like Champa P Shetty’s 'Koli Esru' on January 18. 'Photo' directed by Utsav Gonavar on January 19. 'The Guard' directed by Umesh Badiger will be screened on January 20.

Art exhibition will be organized on January 21 from 3 pm and the camp will conclude from 630 pm. Sudesh Mahan, a famous film and sculpture artist from Bengaluru, will be the chief guest in the closing ceremony and will deliver the closing message. Later, various cultural programmes will be presented by the campers. Artists are free to enter all events and are warmly welcomed.  All the activities will start at 6.30 pm sharp.

In the early stage, the organization has a plan to build an indoor theatre for conducting cultural programmes, information, awareness camps, workshops, accommodation for artistes, in the upcoming days.

Parichaya Pamboor was established with an aim to provide and promulgate art, culture and rich heritage among the public amidst the growing modernization. The organization is conducting various programmes in this regard. It has also successfully completed the first phase of ‘Ranga parichaya’ open air auditorium in the land donated by Mary Noronha here in Pamboor.
