Udupi, Jan 10: Deputy Commissioner Dr K Vidya Kumari has announced changes in the traffic movement on some of the roads and banned movement of heavy vehicles on some other roads here in accordance with Central Motor Vehicle Act 1988 Section 115 and Karnataka Motor Vehicle Act 1989 Section 221 (A)( 2) & 5.

Heavy vehicles have been banned on Chicken Stall Road. Traffic is permitted from east to west on Mastikatte Road. All the vehicles from Kundapura Shastri Circle to the new bus stand on the road to the west should move towards the north.

Vehicles on the road on the east side from the new bus stand to Shastri Circle should move towards the south. With the road on the east of Town hall road on Begum Hazrath Mahal Road beside the Sattadi Department store being narrow, movement of vehicles have been banned from west to east towards NH 66 and from east to west.

The narrow road beside Grand Shivaprasad in Kundapura municipal limits joins NH66 on the east. Traffic on the road from east to west towards the main road to municipal council and to NH 66 has been banned, a press release from the office of the deputy commissioner said.
