Kadaba, Jan 11: “It is false propaganda that I had walked out of a BJP meeting. Though there is Lord Rama in the name of chief minister Siddaramaiah, but he has forgotten the culture and tradition in which he has grown. In the meeting, no for and against opinions were discussed,” said Bhagawanth Khuba, union minister for chemical, fertilizers and renewable energy.

Khuba was speaking to media after participating in the model village of MP Gramostava – 2024 programme that was held under the aegis of Balpa-Kenya village.

Khuba further said, “In the BJP meeting only discussion with respect to Lok Sabha constituency present situation was held. Ticket distribution is done by high command looking into various angles. Excepting this nothing else has occurred. It is false propaganda.”

Addressing questions about his schedule, Khuba presented his Travel Plan (TP), highlighting his early departure from the meeting with permission to attend a pre-scheduled program in Kadaba. While acknowledging potential differences, he assured there is no room for discontent within the BJP. "All will be united by the party," he affirmed, pointing to established mechanisms for expressing opinions.

“It is clear today that the Congress is appeasement. This is being done from the time of Nehru and Indira. The Congress is working against the culture and existence of the country. This is an example to the appeasement of minorities. All religions should keep the Congress out from politics. They have forgotten the culture and tradition in which they have grown up. Keeping themselves away from Ram Mandir inauguration is cheap politics,” he said.

Speaking on the subject of the Congress staying away from inauguration of Ram Mandir, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “The Congress criticised the fight for the Ram Mandir. It also said that Lord Ram did not exist. Now again during the installation of the idol of Ram, they have shown their true colours. Those who oppose Ram are against the culture of India. This is the mentality of the Congress that opposes the country. They have shown appeasement politics by boycotting the inauguration and escaping from the ceremony. They have challenged the Hindu society by appeasing Muslims. The Congress is not only anti-Ram but it is anti-Hindu. Whole Hindu society of India got united for Ram Mandir. If it was RSS mandir we would have done it in Nagpur. But this mandir of Lord Ram. This mandir is that of Hindu society. This was done by VHP and not BJP.

“Rs 58 crore worth grant is utilized for fundamental infrastructure, pond, school building, panchayat, Anganwadi building and development of roads with the cooperation of various organizations. Historical Bokayanakere is rejuvenated which has helped agricultural activities, drinking water and improvement of underground water level,” he said.

Odiyoor Shree Gurudevananda Swamiji blessed the occasion. Opposition leader of legislative council Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLAs Bhagirathi Murulya, Pratap Simha Nayak, former minister S Angara, Krishnaraj Hegde, Harish Karje, Ron Rodrigues, Vinod Bolmale and Sudarshan Moodbidri were present.
