Kasargod: Identity of dead body found at Manjeshwar Koppala river established

Kasaragod, Jan 12: The family members of the deceased have identified the dead body that was found at Manjeshwar Koppala river on Wednesday last week as that of Surathkal Krishnapur resident Ihab Aboobacker (20). He was a student of A J Medical college, Mangaluru.

Manjeshwar station police have ascertained his identity and informed the Karnataka police.

An investigation into the people who had gone missing was conducted in this connection.

Ihab had come to his relatives house at Talapady a few days back. He went missing subsequent to the visit.

A missing complaint was filed with the police in this connection. As investigation into the matter was in progress, police found the dead body of an unidentified person in the river on Wednesday evening.

However, the exact cause of death is not yet known.
